On the morning of May 25, 2026, AlphaGroup had the pleasure of welcoming Mr. Philippe Widemann, the newly appointed Managing Director of the API Schmidt brand (part of the API Group), to its Vietnam office. This marked Mr. Widemann’s first visit in his new role and provided an excellent opportunity for both parties to further strengthen the partnership that has been built since 2010, when AlphaGroup was first established.

Over the past 15 years, AlphaGroup and API Schmidt have successfully collaborated on numerous projects within Vietnam’s beer and beverage industry. Schmidt plate heat exchangers are currently widely installed and operated in many of the country’s leading breweries and beverage manufacturing facilities. In response to the slower growth of the beverage market and the decline in new investment projects, both parties agreed to broaden their cooperation into high-potential sectors such as pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, and data centers.
During the meeting, Mr. Philippe Widemann presented API Schmidt’s advanced heat transfer solutions, backed by more than 140 years of engineering expertise and designed to meet the stringent technical requirements of a wide range of industrial applications. Representing AlphaGroup, Mr. Le Viet Thang shared his insights into current market trends and reaffirmed AlphaGroup’s commitment to supporting API Schmidt in developing new business opportunities across Vietnam.
Both parties agreed to enhance collaboration in market development, technical training, and product knowledge sharing. AlphaGroup also expressed its aspiration to become API Schmidt’s technical consulting partner in Vietnam, providing customers with professional support in solution selection and project implementation, particularly for applications in the rapidly growing data center sector.
The meeting was conducted in an open, constructive, and productive atmosphere, further reinforcing the long-standing partnership between AlphaGroup and API Schmidt. Building upon more than 15 years of successful collaboration, both organizations look forward to expanding their cooperation, delivering advanced technological solutions, and creating sustainable value for customers throughout the Vietnamese market.
